The local police of Ostend received a report of a car theft just after 10 am on Saturday. “Our services were able to quickly locate the vehicle via license plate recognition, but the driver fled and it came to a chase,” says spokeswoman Eline Goeminne. “At the intersection of Zandvoordestraat and Kreekstraat, the thieves rammed two stationary vehicles. A passenger was taken to the hospital.”
The stolen car ended up a little further against a traffic light. The occupants, two Walloon men, could be caught and are currently being interrogated.
