“Unfortunately, the year has not started so well for us as a family. Our Mariska suffered a cerebral infarction this week and we are very shocked,” Frans writes on Instagram with a photo of him and his wife. “In the coming period we will support her and work on her recovery.”
Frans thanks the employees of the Bravis hospital, which is located in Bergen op Zoom and Roosendaal, for their efforts. “Due to the circumstances, things are going well and we are happy that she is back home from today.”
Frans and Mariska married in 2008 and had four sons together, Christiaan, Frans Jr., Jan and Lucas. Together, the couple made several programs, including ‘De Bauers: Destination Unknown’, which can be seen with us on Play5.
