The great jubilee episode of Goede Tijden Bad Times, with the one -off comeback from Reinout Oerlemans and the farewell of Jette van der Meij, did not premiere on RTL 4. “That says a lot.”

It caused annoyance at Eric De Munck, the new right hand of Yvonne Coldeweijer: the large jubilee episode of Goede Tijden Bad Tijden, like all other episodes of the soap, premiered on Videoland a week before the TV broadcast. Shortly after midnight there were therefore all kinds of spoilers on the street via media such as De Telegraaf.

Lots of comments

For the regular TV viewer, the fun is now off: he already knows, without having seen the episode, the big surprise around Reinout Oerlemans and Jette van der Meij. “There has been a lot of comments that it is already on Videoland, because of course that entire episode is actually on the street,” says Tina Nijkamp TV authority.

She continues in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE: “For people who watch linearly, just watch TV and don’t have a Videoland subscription, that is of course quite a bit disappointing, because you actually already know how things are going to go. So the question is: couldn’t RTL have been better waiting for this anniversary episode on television to premiere?”

Momentum

Tina thinks so. “Yes, I honestly think that they should have done that better. Then they would have created a momentum on television for GTST, because it is not that good with those viewing figures. Then you might have had some extra viewers.”

She continues: “I think it would not be a very big problem for Videoland if you solve it once. In total, GTST does have many Videoland viewers, because in total it comes to 1.1 million, according to RTL itself.”

RTL 4 Second

All in all, according to Tina, it only strengthens the rumors that GTST disappears from RTL 4 and really moves exclusively to Videoland.

She concludes: “Yes, it also betrays that GTST really goes to Videoland, because RTL actually says: we think the Videoland viewer is more important than the linear viewer. Videoland is really first and RTL 4 seconds. That’s how it comes over anyway.”
