Who is Omar Yasín: the official whom Milei fired on television

I fired him for a mistake that should not have happened.. They are notifying it at this moment,” the president surprised Javier Milei during an interview he gave to the LN+ signal. The target was Omar Nills Yasín the labor lawyer from the PRO who served until today as Secretary of Labor of the Nation

Yasin’s circle had not received any communication from the Chief of Staff until that moment, Nicolas Possenor the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, on whom the area depends. A splash of cold water for his team, whom MIlei held responsible for the errors that exposed the government to the scandal over salary increases.

Omar Nills Yasín had arrived at the ministry led by Pettovello pushed by Patricia Bullrich. And in the first months he had dedicated himself to developing proposals to address an unemployment and compensation fund, and to attack the so-called “trial industry.” But after the controversy over the increase in salaries for the Executive Branch, he stopped being part of the national cabinet

Before this step as Secretary of Labor of the Nation, Yasín was an official of Mauricio Macri in the City of Buenos Aires and in the Nation: in December 2007 Yasín was appointed general director of the Administrative Office of the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires, where he remained in this position for 2 years.

In 2015, with Macri elected president, accompanied Jorge Triaca in the Ministry of Labor: Yasín served as director of Individual Relations of the Ministry. Two years later he was appointed, within the same ministry, national director of the Mandatory Conciliation and Personnel Service for Private Houses.
