The Republican president has been trying to use the national guard for some time in Democrats -led cities that he describes as lawless.

“President Trump has authorized three hundred members of the National Guard to protect federal agents and federal property,” said a White House spokesperson. “President Trump will not ensure that lawlessness continues to ravage American cities.”

An American judge has temporarily prevented Trump from using two hundred troops from the National Guard of the state of Oregon in the city of Portland. That is not allowed by the judge as long as there is a lawsuit over that decision of Trump. Oregon brought that process against the Trump government at the end of September.

The authorities in Oregon label the sending of the soldiers as “an illegal federalization” of the National Guard. They state that the governors of the States, not the president, are in charge of the national guard of their state.
