After Victor Osimhen’s record transfer, which Galatasaray Istanbul has now firmly hired, the question arises: Where did “Gala” get a lot from?

Christian Hornung

The previous record for a transfer in the Turkish Süperlig was 19.5 million euros: This sum invested this total 2023 for Youssef En-Nesyri. Osimhen is now changing from the Italian champion SSC Naples to the master of the Bosphorus for 75 million euros. And as usual with a stock corporation, the Nigerian’s content was also published: According to club information, Osimhen will receive 84 million euros for his new four -year contract by 2029.

Sané also gets several millions

Leroy Sané does not earn as much as Osimhen, but also not bad. According to the club, the 70-time international receives a guaranteed net salary of nine million euros per season. There is also a loyalty bonus of three million euros net per season. According to matching media reports, there should be other bonus payments that could increase the annual salary to up to 15 million euros – everything net.

In addition to Osimhen and Sané, there are other celebrities in the “Gala” squad, which cannot be classified under the Rubirk “low-wage”. For example the Spanish European champion Álvaro Morata, the Argentine Mauro Icardi or the Colombian Davinson Sánchez. At “Gala” the shopping frenzy began three years ago, a horror season was preceded. In the historically embarrassing 13th place in the table, the proud traditional club ended the season.

Alvaro Morata is now also storming for Galataray

Earth timur speaks of Champions League title

President Dursun Özbek was nevertheless re -elected and installed earth timur as the chief of football – that was the starting signal for an aggressive transfer policy. Timur said in an interview at the time: “There will be six big leagues in Europe from now on – and Turkey will belong. Then Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas can also win the Champions League.”

A component for the high lion of the traditionally extremely debt -based large clubs (according to “transfermarkt.de” the total debt of the three top clubs was 1.14 billion euros). The listed clubs spent new stock packages, giving money from large fund companies, but also from small investors.

Between 500 and 600 million Land sales

The “Florya project” is added to Galatasaray. The old training area suddenly became building land, and the sale to the city of Istanbul is to be generated between 500 and 600 million euros. According to the club, a first 50 million tranche flowed, which was forwarded to the purchase of Osimhen. The purchase of such stars has also increased the advertising value of the clubs so much that, for example, Galatasaray from the “Pasifik Holding” should now receive 80 million euros before.

According to “Spiegel Online” and “Transfermarkt.de”, it is controversial that part of the liqidity is based on forecasts and overwriting of assets that have not yet been fully received by the lending banks at the time of debt dulcation. The pressure of the Turkish fan scene is enormous, big names are worshiped and celebrated, but the promotion of young talent is taking a back seat in the current financial planning. It remains to be seen how sustainable the current boom is not only at Galatasaray, but also for Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
