Amateur football player Floris van der Linden became the top scorer of this year’s KNVB cup tournament with five goals. Yet he did not receive a nice cup from the KNVB for this. NH Sport changed that last week.

After all, it is a great achievement that you score more goals than professionals, such as Dusan Tadic and Jesper Karlsson. That is why the sports editors had a special cup made for the football player from Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.

At his club Spakenburg we looked for the striker. After a little search, he found the cup that was made especially for him. “Still a prize. That’s great. It gets a nice spot on the mantelpiece,” Van der Linden responded enthusiastically.
Floris van der Linden started playing football at SV Ouderkerk. He then played for Telstar, Koninklijke HFC and now Spakenburg.
