A group of Golden Lions were seen listening to Eppu Normaali’s farewell concert on Saturday, June 6 at the Bolt Arena in Helsinki. Editor of Iltalehti Valtteri Vesarinne witnessed how the Lions enjoyed the concert and presented their World Cup trophy to the concert audience.
The lions attracted the public’s attention when they came out of the vip enclosure, because they were carrying the hockey World Cup trophy, or more familiarly, “Poika”.
The trophy was raised several times in the air, and the party crowd pouring out of the concert stopped to photograph Leijon and cheer for them.
Konsta Helenius, Urho Vaakanainen, Waltteri Merelä, Anton Lundell, Lenni Hämeenaho and the team’s general manager Jere Lehtinen were seen on site.

Eppu Normaali was founded in Ylöjärvi in 1976, and the band’s founders Martti Syrjä, Mikko “Pantse” Syrjä and Aku Syrjä are from there.
Among the Kultaleijons who were there, 20-year-old Helenius is also from Ylöjärve.
At the end of the Instagram video, the Lions were clearly in a festive mood and hummed in unison to the goal song of the Swiss national hockey team.
Eppu Normaali will give a concert for the last time in Helsinki this weekend. Their ongoing “Everything fades, only now” closing tour continues through the summer and culminates at Ratina Stadium in Tampere in August.
