Alen Halilovic (27 years old) enjoys football again. Five goals in 37 games for Sporting did not earn him a place in the Barça squad the following season. Since then nine teams: Las Palmas, Hamburg, Milan, Liege, Heerenveen, Birmingham, Reading, Rijeka… and since this summer Sittard, where it seems to have finally found its place.
Halilovic himself recently said that he had been looking for a team for a long time where he felt the coach’s confidence. and that he has finally found it in the Sittaard of the Eredivise. In the Dutch team he has already participated in seven games, totaling 602 minutes, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
ANDCoach Danny Buijs is giving him confidence to recover his football after several seasons where he has had a testimonial presence. Against FC Volendam he had his best performance with actions that recalled a footballer who was called to be one of the best in his country. His was the 3-1 goal with a display of resources: surgical control, he beats two rivals with dribbles and a cross shot with his left foot. Halilovic hopes to establish himself as an important player in the Eredivise this season.
