The conversations that Rob Goossens has had with his alleged online mistresses are being spread and have now also been offered to Victor Vlam. “He also says things about RTL Boulevard.”
Rob Goossens has been discredited because, according to the juice channel Reality FBI, he has had intimate conversations with at least two women, while he is married and has a regular family life. Some of it ended up on the channel and the RTL Boulevard star now keeps joking about it on television. “I’m giving my phone to you, Luuk!”
More damage
Media expert Victor Vlam hopes that this will remain the case for Rob. “I think there is the potential for more damage. This is mainly due to the fact that another woman has turned to a juice channel. Two women in one week,” he says today in the latest episode of The Communicados.
“Well, then you have to take into account that a third party is also moving to a juice channel and a fourth and a fifth. Yes, that can indeed lead to image damage.”
Mien from Apeldoorn
There are more people doing this kind of thing in the media world and beyond, Victor agrees. “But Mien from Apeldoorn, who watches Boulevard, is simply not going to understand that, because she mainly thinks: if my husband does this, I will kick him out of the house. They find that unacceptable and that is the damage to their image.”
The information that Reality FBI has spread so far is mostly very embarrassing. “It is mainly the drip-drip-drip that can break you here. If that keeps coming out, it is really harmful.”
Boulevard dirt
Victor was also offered the Rob chats himself. “The second reason why I see a little more potential for damage is because in the conversations he has with those women, he also talks about his work at Boulevard. I know this because the juice channel Reality FBI contacted me and offered me the entire file.”
He continues: “Those are all the conversations he had with those women. Yes, let’s be clear: I have no interest in that, this podcast is not a juice channel, so I don’t feel like peddling that here. I don’t think there is any interest in doing that either, because these are really private conversations. I just don’t want to dive into that.”
Aran and Bridget
It is ‘really none of my business‘, said Victor. “But yes, it was recommended to me, like: ‘Here he also talks about his work at Boulevard in these conversations.’ Then you can also think: if you search control-F for Bridget or for Aran or for Jorien van der Plas, the editor-in-chief, you might find some interesting quotes.”
“If he plops down on the couch after a day of work and is having conversations with one of these women and says that Bridget was a bit annoying in the studio again today and maybe adds an expletive to that, (…) then it could be If you take that quote out of context, it will be blown up and then you can start an argument about it again.”
A risk
That also has the potential for image damage, according to Victor. “By the way, my assessment is that no one wants to accept that file, because I think it simply goes too far for most people to get involved in this private information. That seems healthy to me.”
“But on the other hand: you only need one person with a platform to make news out of this,” he says, possibly referring to a more ruthless channel like RoddelPraat. “So that is a risk.”
