You know Jens as a permanent voice on Start Je Dag on Radio 2. He has been presenting the program since March 2018, succeeding Nico Blontrock. Jens has been working at Radio 2 for some time, where he previously presented Evening Post and also went on the road as a reporter. Jens studied journalism at Howest University of Applied Sciences.
Jens sees his transfer as a great challenge to hone his journalistic talents in television as well. As a reporter, he will learn the tricks of the television trade. Jens lives in Bruges and will also pay extra attention to the city of Bruges and the East Coast for us. The current decision by VRT not to broadcast the morning block on Radio 2 regionally from January 2023 is not the main motivation for him.
Earlier, Xavier Taveirne also took his first steps for the news service at Focus and WTV. He presented our weekend news from April 2016, until he also became a face at VRT in September 2017. First on the Seventh Day, later at the News and at Laat.
