List BVB: Kobel – Meunier, Hummels Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini – Özcan, Brandt – Malen, Reus, Duranville – Haller

+++ HALFTIME +++

The first half is over and BVB cannot be satisfied with the performance. Only two meager degrees are recorded for Dortmund, who mostly act without speed and creativity on the offensive. Erfurt has defended well so far and makes it difficult for BVB. In the 23rd minute, Elva scored the well-deserved goal to make it 1-0 because Black and Yellow were able to counter after their own corner.

+++ 42nd minute +++

Hope for all observers: BVB was already 1-0 down at half-time in the last friendly between the two teams. final score? 5: 2 for the black and yellow.

+++ 39 minutes +++

Even the standard situations of Dortmund have not been fruitful so far. Edin Terzic, who called for an improvement in performance before the game, cannot be satisfied with his team’s performance so far.

+++ 36 minutes +++

Will BVB equalize here before the break?

+++ 32 minutes +++

Another counterattack for RWE and it’s getting dangerous again. Hajrulla runs the ball up. He puts the ball onto his right foot, but then shoots over the goal.

+++ 30 minutes +++

Even after half an hour, Borussia Dortmund did not find an answer to the defense of Rot-Weiss Erfurt. Similar to Oberhausen, the offensive artists apparently lack the ideas.

+++ 27 minutes +++

BVB wants a quick equalizer. For the first time, however, Erfurt has the ball a little longer and lets Edin Terzic’s men run.

+++ 23rd minute, TOR for Rot-Weiss Erfurt, 1:0 by Elva +++

And then suddenly there is a mood in the booth. After a BVB corner, Dortmund are countered. After Özcan had actually already clarified the scene, the Erfurt found Caniggia Elva, which was completely free in the middle. The 27-year-old refuses to be asked and scores to make it 1-0.

+++ 19th minute +++

Erfurt is in its own half with all field players. It is still difficult for BVB to find a way through the tightly staggered RWE team.

+++ 15 minutes +++

The first quarter of an hour is over. Rot-Weiss Erfurt is still very deep and makes it difficult for Dortmund to open the combination game. Similar to RWO last Wednesday, Erfurt is also trying to set small pinpricks again and again. So far, Fabian Gerber’s team hasn’t been able to do that as well as the people from Oberhausen.

+++ 11th minute +++

Brandt sends painting. But the Dutchman doesn’t get enough pressure behind the ball. Schellenberg is there again.

+++ 8 minutes +++

Malen gets through on the left and is felled by Moritz, who sees a yellow card for the foul. The subsequent free kick from Marco Reus goes well over the goal and does not cause any danger.

+++ 6th minute +++

The next goal approach. Julian Brandt pulls away in the penalty area without being pressed, but places the ball too centrally and thus helps RWE keeper Schellenberg to make his first good save.

+++ 4th minute +++

Erfurt is deep in the initial phase and lets BVB come.

+++ 1st minute +++

After just 30 seconds, BVB can record the first deal. Haller doesn’t put enough power behind the ball after a Meunier cross.

+++ 1st minute, kick-off +++

The ball is rolling in Erfurt. Referee Lossius kicked off the game at around 22 degrees and a slightly cloudy sky.

+++ Hummel’s captain again +++

Mats Hummels will also captain BVB against Erfurt. Already against Rot-Weiss Oberhausen he took over the binding. In the first friendly against Rhynern, Niklas Süle took over.

+++ Which players does BVB coach Edin Terzic have to do without? +++

For the first time in preparation, BVB coach Edin Terzic can also fall back on the national players who started training later. Nevertheless, a total of five players did not make their way to Erfurt. In addition to Niklas Süle, Karim Adeyemi and Mateu Morey, the injured Jamie Bynoe Gittens and Giovanni Reyna are missing.

On the other hand, there are the newcomers Ramy Bensebaini (joined from Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer in the summer) and Felix Nmecha (moved from VfL Wolfsburg to BVB for around 30 million euros). However, it is still unclear how long they will be on the field.

+++ How do BVB fans react to new signing Lukas Nmecha? +++

For Lukas Nmecha, the friendly against Rot-Weiss Erfurt will be his debut in a Borussia Dortmund shirt. The transfer of the 22-year-old was viewed extremely critically by large parts of the fan scene, as Nmecha had shared homophobic and transphobic content on his social media channels at least twice in the past.

+++ Which “test face” is BVB showing? +++

In the first two friendlies, BVB showed two completely different performances. While the team started their preparations with a good 7-0 win against Westfalia Rhynern, the team narrowly avoided embarrassment against Rot-Weiss Oberhausen. It wasn’t until the final whistle that Samuel Bamba scored the winning goal. Previously, BVB had been largely unimaginative on the offensive and made many mistakes in defense.
