Warning for locally dense fog: code yellow throughout Brabant

Locally dense fog may occur in Brabant this Monday morning, the KNMI warns. That is why the weather institute has issued code yellow. Code yellow also applies to the provinces of South Holland, Utrecht and Zeeland.

Visibility can be less than two hundred meters locally. The fog will clear by mid-morning.

“Some showers on Monday afternoon, maybe with thunder.”

“Then the sun breaks through every now and then,” adds Rico Schröder of Weerplaza. “In the afternoon some showers may develop, perhaps with a thunderstorm. But they are not those very heavy showers like last weekend. The temperature will be around 20 to 22 degrees on Monday afternoon, another warm day.”

Those showers will stop on Monday evening, but then a disturbance will arrive that will enter the province from the west this coming night. “It won’t be a cold night, about 12 degrees.”

“Maybe the sun will break through on Tuesday evening.”

Tuesday we have to deal with rain all day. “It will continue to rain all day, I think”, Rico said Monday morning in the radio program ‘WAKE UP!’ on Omroep Brabant. “The temperature will reach a maximum of 16 to 18 degrees on Tuesday, but during showers it is only about 14 degrees. Later in the day it will gradually become dry from the west and maybe the sun will break through on Tuesday evening.”

Wednesday will be another day with a lot of rain, according to Rico. “With a few showers later. This is also the case on Thursday and Friday. We end up with a bit of rain in the drip.”

The temperature will rise again later in the week and will reach 20 degrees again at the weekend. “Then it will be a bit drier again.”
