The popular Drenthe quiz LOOS is back! The recordings for the eleventh edition will start in February, and you can participate. LOOS, which will be shown on television in March during the Meertmaond Streektaolmaond, is looking for enthusiastic candidates to compete for the title “Most Loze Drent 2025”.
In LOOS three candidates compete against each other. After three exciting rounds, one of them is eliminated, after which the remaining two finalists compete in a nerve-wracking final round.
The questions and games are varied: from multiple choice questions to a music round and an intense final, in which you have to answer ten questions correctly within a minute. The winner of each episode moves on to the next round, until there is one big winner left.
The quiz covers all kinds of topics, from Drenthe regional language and history to topography, music, sports and the news of the past year. Preparing is difficult, because the questions are diverse and unpredictable. “You must especially enjoy taking part in a quiz,” says Loes van der Laan, producer of LOOS. “And sometimes you’re just a bit lucky to get a question you know!”
Anyone aged 16 and over can register (under 18 with permission from a parent or guardian). It is not mandatory to speak Drenthe, but some knowledge of the regional language is useful. “If you know the meaning of Drenthe words, but do not speak them, you can simply sign up,” Loes emphasizes.
The recordings will take place on February 4, 5 and 6 in the evening. You can indicate your preferred days when you register. You can register until January 19 via rtvdrenthe.nl/loos. Don’t forget that patience is a virtue: only participants will be notified no later than January 24.
The quiz guarantees a fun evening with a nice group of people. “It’s great fun to participate, and you even get the chance to watch other episodes live.” The first broadcast of LOOS can be seen on TV on February 27.
