Votes: Flick declares a draw, Trapp is annoyed

The anniversary game between Germany and Ukraine ended in a poor draw from a German perspective. The 3: 3 (1: 2) of the German national soccer team in Bremen did not necessarily contribute to the anticipation of the European Championships at home next year. National coach Hansi Flick was understandably not satisfied. The votes on the 1000th game of the DFB team:

Hansi Flick (national coach): “We did a lot of things well in possession and created chances that unfortunately we didn’t complete as well as we wanted. I feel sorry for the team because they really tried to turn the game around. We’ll take the positive things with us, that’s all we can do We know it’s a long process. It’s important that we show mentality. Luckily it was enough to make it 3-3, but we still have to clearly address the things that we need to do better.”

Joshua Kimmich (DFB captain): “We got into the game really well, it felt relatively good. Then we conceded two stupid goals. The 1-3 also happened from a simple mistake. That’s exactly what we have to stop. In the end we decided to Lucky again rewarded with two goals.”



Kevin Trap: “It’s very annoying because we conceded goals from slight mistakes. If we stop that, we’ll be on the right track because we basically played a good game. We still have a year until the European Championships, by then we have to Shut things down, otherwise it will be difficult, of course. We shouldn’t complain about the system now.”

Jonas Hofmann: “We were upset by the very, very unnecessary goals we conceded. We would have liked to win, but 3-3 is a nice result considering the circumstances.”
