The volleyball players of Samen Lycurgus from Groningen will face the Slovenian Calcit Kamnik on November 9 in the European CEV Cup.
The opponent of the Groningers was announced on Wednesday evening, after Calcit also won the second game against the Austrian Aich Dob. In Kamnik it became 3-2 for the Slovenians, who had already won 3-1 in sets a week ago in Austria. Lycurgus, which will play its first European game this season, will do so in the sixteenth final of the CEV Cup.
In the run-up to last season, Lycurgus practiced in Slovenia against Calcit Kamnik and drew 2-2 twice. Calcit finished second in the last competition. After the away game in Slovenia, the home game in Groningen follows a week later.
