The region, with a port, an airport and the sea, has a lot to become stronger. SVO: Tom Bulcke, regional chairman of Voka Oostende: “Salmon farming is really aquaculture at its best. Something we wanted to respond to here in the region. That is now gone. Hopefully there is still a chance. But it shows the precarious situation that we still have many permit problems. We want to develop economically. There are areas here, but they are not allocated.”
