Not surprisingly, VOC won the NH Cup. The handball players defeated SEW 29-23 after a difficult first half. A nice boost for the national champion, who choked on Saturday in Venlo. Until now, VOC has also won all previous editions.
VOC had a bad day on Saturday, as it lost without a chance against Venlo (30-16) in the Supercup final. The grumpy feeling could be undone by winning the NH Cup, a certainty in recent years.
However, the start of the final was for SEW. The West Frisians quickly made it 3-0, but VOC leveled the score again. It remained even until SEW made a small hole: 11-7. The halftime score of 15-13 was therefore a logical consequence. After the break, the team from Amsterdam remained in the wake of SEW and it even came to the same level (18-18). Via Daphne Luchies took the lead and it was not given away by Rachel de Haze’s team (29-23).
