The team of trainer Rachel de Haze has already been able to train a number of times on the new surface and was therefore at an advantage. Nevertheless, the visitors from Deurningen in Overijssel took a brutal lead in the opening phase: 3-5.

As the first half progressed, VOC came into the match better and lived up to its role of favorite. Halfway through, order was restored and VOC was looking at a 16-12 lead.

After halftime, VOC treated the crowd to several great goals and, above all, quick breakouts. The difference in strength increased by the minute and the home team was soon ahead by ten points. This was largely due to Alieke van Maurik, who managed to score no fewer than five times in the second half and eventually became the top scorer with a total of seven goals.

The reigning national champion then achieved a comfortable 36-24 victory. VOC has won all six matches this season and is therefore in the lead in the Premier League. Title competitor Venlo is also clear and is shared first with VOC.

A summary of the match between VOC and DSVD will appear on this website on Sunday. This summary can also be seen on Monday in the NH Sport TV broadcast (5:11 p.m.), as well as a report about the new LED floor.
