The Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG) ‘makes an urgent appeal to the House of Representatives’ not to agree on Thursday with the Asylum Measures Act. A vote on the so -called Institute for the Public Housing Direction Act must be postponed, according to VNG. According to the association, both laws contain amendments ‘being legally untenable and have undesirable consequences for implementation at the local level’, it is stated in a statement.
