VKW takes the full loot against SVBO in the final minute

FOOTBALL – In a spectacular Drents meeting, VKW from Westerbork won 1-2 at SVBO from Emmen. Both VKW goals came in the second half. Both teams also received a red card. Due to the victory, VKW continues to follow in the footsteps of leader Hoogezand in the 1st Class F, while SVBO seems to be finally dropping out in the title fight.

The SVBO coach, Marc Hegeman, was very pleased with his team’s play in the first hour of the match: “We didn’t give anything away, but we forgot to reward ourselves faster.” After 33 minutes it was Quentin Brands who took the opening goal on behalf of SVBO. There didn’t seem to be a speck in the air for the team from Emmen, until the 70th minute.

Right back Jelmer Scholtens took down a player who had broken through, so he had to leave with a red card. Shortly after the red card, it was Jonas Nijland who scored the equalizer. VKW also ended up with ten men after Wouter Baardink was sent off with a red card. In the final minute, a winner was crowned. After shooting in the defense of SVBO, the ball came to the feet of the VKW player. He was able to push the ball in for an open goal, so that the Börkers won 2-1.

GOMOS received WVV, the number 4 of the First Division F, at home. The Norgers were able to keep up with the Winschoters, but WVV eventually won 1-2. The same result was on the board at Germanicus after 90 minutes. The club from Coevorden narrowly lost a visit to VV Heerenveen.
