Twin sisters Johanna and Susanna Naskali today on TV, they tell what it’s like when a mother dies as a result of violence. They have had to experience it when they were 15 years old. The husband who lived with the victim, the stepfather of the twins, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was more than 10 years younger than his spouse.

The couple’s humid evening out took a sad turn when the sisters were at their father’s. At that time, the girls’ mother and father had a quarrel. It all ended with the stepfather killing the mother with a bladed weapon. The stepfather reported himself to the police.

Johanna wanted to see the venue, the home’s kitchen, with her own eyes. Despite his father’s objections, it happened. Johanna describes what she saw as something straight out of a horror movie.

– I was completely shocked. I crawled onto my mother’s bed and shouted, “Where is my mother?” From that moment on, everything was really foggy, Johanna recalls now more than a decade later.

The stepfather was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder. However, the court proceedings did not bring all the answers to the questions that bothered Johanna in particular. In the end, he ended up contacting his stepfather and before long they started planning a meeting. It came true when ten years had passed since the verdict was announced.
