Artist quizzes are part of the new UMK culture, writes journalist Mari Pudas. The new music competition has existed since 2012. After years of fumbling, UMK has finally come together in this decade and it has become a real Eurovision qualifying competition and one of the most watched television programs of the year. UMK songs have also become hits and many artists have received a boost in their careers thanks to UMK.
