Former master Ratiopharm Ulm has reached the final in the basketball Bundesliga and demands Topfavorit FC Bayern in the final series.
The Ulm won the fifth semi -finals against the Würzburg Baskets in the evening with 91:84 (50:43) and used the home advantage that they had earned in the regular season.
The first final will take place on Sunday (6:00 p.m./Dyn) in Munich. The past two masters meet in the duel between Bavaria and Ulm. Ulm 2023 won the last playoff series of the two clubs so far with 3-0.
In the current season, the top clubs each won a direct duel. For Bavaria and trainer Gordon Herbert, it is the last title chance after failure in the trophy and the play-in-off in the Euroleague.
Farewell to Steinbach
The fifth game shaped on the side of Ty Harrelson’s team, especially Ben Saraf (16 points) and Karim Jallow (18 points, nine rebounds). In game four, Ulm had missed the early decision at the last minute.
Würzburg, the former club of NBA champion Dirk Nowitzki, saw the last appearance of young star Hannes Steinbach and missed the first time.
The 19-year-old is moving to college this summer, and next summer it could go to the NBA. At the end of the playoffs, Steinbach contributed 16 points and nine rebounds.
