the queens

The glance, entering pavilion 7, is of those who do not betray expectations. Extraordinary cars, lined up on the red carpet of the great occasions to welcome the public, confirming the second edition of Vicenza Classic Car Show as one of those “classic” events not to be missed and to be noted on the calendar. The first three “queens” tell the motor dreams of the rusty 60s: the Ferrari 275 GTB of 1966, very elegant, with the original plaque Pistoia, designed by Pininfarina and made by flakes, to replace the glorious lineage of the 250 GT. Next to them, two other icons of those years: one Lamborghini Miura P400 S of 1969, born from the pencil of Marcello Gandini, with a 12 -cylinder cross -cutting engine, and considered by many to be the first real supercar of history, and the Maserati Mistral of 1966, before a long series of the House of the Trident to bring the name of the winds. The specimen exposed to Vicenza Classic Car Show is the only one in the world in original two -tone shade of factory. The central celebratory area pays homage to the first fifty years of the Ferrari 308with a deployment of models from the most prestigious private garages, which tell the story and evolution of the car born from the pencil of Leonardo Fioravanti: from the windows in the window produced up to the beginning of 1977, the most coveted by collectors, to the GTS version, made famous by Magnum Piwith a removable vinyl roof, up to the four -booking of 1982 which strengthens its myth over the years, both on the street and in competitions. The Ferrari Museums return to Vicenza – Ferrari Museums of Maranello and Museo Ferrari from Modena return to Vicenza fans – with a stand that leads along a path between history and innovation, with the spotlight on Supercars and Ferrari F40 LMracing version of one of the milestones in the history of Maranello. And to the delight of the fans, available to the public there are the latest generation Formula 1 simulators, who from Vicenza project on the circuits of all of Europe made with laser scan technology, from Monza, Mugello, Barcelona, Silverstone, Imola, Nürbürgring, Zandvoort, Spa Francorchamps.

Simca and Bugatti

The cars of the Nicolis Museum of Verona also parade in Vicenza Classic Car Show, with an exhibition dedicated to the seventies and eighties. Back to the ’70 tells the revolutionary charm of those years through two very particular models: one Matra Simca Bagheravery “disruptive” sports, with internal configuration with three seats alongside, and aeronautical instrumentation, and one Rolls-Royce Camargue From 1975, the first Rolls designed by Pininfarina, at the time perhaps too daring, but today appreciated by collectors for its design outside the box. The futuristic vision of the 80s is celebrated, however, by Delorean DMC-12 of 1981 designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, which reports an entire generation to the emotions of Back to the Future: the model displayed in Vicenza at the stand of the Nicolis Museum paraded on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival on the occasion of the screening of the film Driver On the entrepreneurial parable of John Delorean and appears in the video clip Little things by J.AX & Fedez. As witnesses of a precious cultural heritage, the different federations are back: historic ACI – AC Vicenza animate the weekend of the event with talks and themed meetings, while ASI AutomoClub Italiano Italiana participates with the large “ASI Village” space in Pavilion 6, which hosts its federated clubs and many cars on display: from If Isotta Fraschini Fenc of 1908 e Bugatti T57 brought by the Historic Club Schio, to the Autoblinda Humber Mkiithe only specimen available in Italy of the Club Cingoli and wheels to know the story, to Appia Zagato And Fulvia Sport In the year of the celebrations of his 60th birthday, exhibited by the Zagato Car Club, to the boats of the Veneto car club, which celebrates the 30 years of his summer event “The legend of Bassano” in Vicenza, part of the Tricolor circuit.
