VfL Wolfsburg wins friendly against TSG Hoffenheim

Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim started the new year with a defeat. TSG lost 3-2 (1-1) against league rivals VfL Wolfsburg despite a brace from Robert Skov.

Hoffenheim’s new signing Kasper Dolberg made his debut in the starting lineup in the test match played in Almancil/Portugal.

The Dane Skov (30th) gave the Kraichgauers the lead with a penalty kick and later also made it 2-2 (73rd). Luca Waldschmidt (42′) and Kevin Paredes (72′) scored for VfL, Jakub Kaminski (87′) scored the winning goal shortly before the end.

Dolberg, who played all three games for Denmark at the World Cup in Qatar, came on loan from French first division club OGC Nice. Most recently, the striker was loaned to Sevilla FC.
