After the departures of Armel Bella-Kotchap (20; Southampton), Maxim Leitsch (24; Mainz) and Saulo Decarli (30; Braunschweig) VfL Bochum has apparently found reinforcements for the center of defence. According to consistent media reports, VfL is working on signing Ivan Ordets (29) from Dinamo Moscow. There is a loan in the room, which would be possible due to the FIFA transfer regulations in the course of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
“Deep in the West – The VfL Magazine“First reported that the negotiations between VfL and the player were very advanced. “Responsive sport“ subsequently reported that Ordets was expected in Bochum late on Friday evening. The former Ukrainian national player could belong to the travel group for the training camp in South Tyrol after passing the medical check on Sunday. Ordets is under contract at Dinamo until 2024, having moved there on a free transfer from Shakthar Donetsk in 2019. Since then he has played 67 games (five goals) for Moscow.
