The return from the former loan player Tiago Tomás to VfB Stuttgart is perfect. On Saturday, the Swabians and VfL Wolfsburg, where the Portuguese from Sporting 2023 had changed, announced the transfer. In Stuttgart, the 23 -year -old striker receives a contract until June 2029.

For the change, VfB is said to put a transfer of 13 million euros on the table. Bonuses could increase the sum to up to 15 million euros. Wolfsburg paid 8 million euros to Lisbon two years ago. Previously, Tomás had contributed 8 goals and 4 assists in 47 games in 47 games. At VfL there were 9 hits and 6 templates in 65 games.

“Tiago brings many qualities; it is fast, dribble-strong and has an excellent technique,” said VfB sports director Christian Gentner. “With these skills, it not only fits our game idea very well, but will also make our offensive area even more variable and therefore more effective. His character properties come, it is a positive and open person who will integrate into our group without start -up time. Of course because Tiago already knows VfB and parts of the squad and both he and we have very good memories of this common time.”

Tomás said: “My joy is very great to be able to play again for VfB in the future. I am very happy that the change worked and I’m looking forward to the entire team. VfB has developed enormously since my first time in Stuttgart. I would like to contribute to my performance that we will also achieve the new goals and be successful together.”
