VfB Stuttgart: Next setback for Naouirou Ahamada – week-long absence

End of season threatens

VfB Stuttgart, threatened with relegation, may have to do without Naouirou Ahamada until the end of the season. The midfielder suffered a broken toe in training and underwent surgery, coach Pellegrino Matarazzo announced before the home game against FC Augsburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky). The 19-year-old will be out for six weeks.

For the youngster, who was signed by Juventus Turin for 1.5 million euros last summer, it is the next setback after a calf and Achilles tendon injury and a corona infection. Ahamada only played three games for the VfB pros this season.
