Very expensive and ‘unnecessary’ plan against crowds on Veluwe is surprising: ‘Giethoorn, it is only full there’

Long traffic jams, shouting matches on cycle paths and arguments about stray dogs in the woods. You no longer have to go to the Veluwe for peace and quiet. An authoritative working group in the region therefore wants a billion euros for new recreational places that should relieve tourist attractions such as the Posbank, Garderen and Otterlo. However, there is dissatisfaction in those places: “We want to keep our visitors and there are cheaper solutions.”
