Everyone who watched the men’s javelin throw of the Polish athletics competition on Friday noticed from the TV pictures that the Finns’ technique was not up to snuff.

Oliver Helander threw 78.10 and Eemil Porvari 74.02 meters in the gold series competition in Bydgoszcz.

The Hartola man’s record of 82.69 is from 2024. Last summer, he cleared 80 meters in five competitions.
– Porvar’s performance on Friday was very weak. He’s probably upset himself. Fortunately, it’s only May. There is time to correct mistakes.
Helander opened his season on May 16 in Germany with a result of 76.51 meters.
– Helander didn’t have the nerve to throw on Friday.
The 2024 EC bronze medalist overstepped five of his six throws.
– When the tension in the middle body is released, i.e. the throw is not made from the top of the support, it does not fly like that 78 meters with just one hand.
Bryggare characterizes the operation of the Raasepori nursery as “terrible nervousness”.
– Relaxation and timing were completely missing.
The Finn replaced the Estonian as his coach after last season Magnus Kirtin.
– The new coaching relationship is tested in such a situation, when things need to be fixed. As far as I know, Helander is healthy, so that’s a good starting point. But if he and his coach agree that Friday went well, then we are missing out, Bryggare analyzed.

There will be no men’s javelin in the meet held in Turku on Wednesday next week.
In the domestic GP series in Lahti on June 10 and in Kuortane on Midsummer’s Day, the men’s javelin is part of the sports program.

Trying to get to the front row after the hardest Finnish fast-track stars Saara Keskitalo softened to a weak performance on Friday in Poland in good conditions.
– The Keskitalo race was over before leaving. A bad reaction, after which he came staggering to the first fence. The foot that pushes on the middle house often catches a little bit on the fence. Now that’s what happened at the first fence.
Bryggare expected a start result of 12.7 seconds from the Finn, but Keskitalo clocked 12.99 seconds and was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles race.

Keskitalo, who turns 26 in July, only rose to the level last summer where he has the opportunity to compete at the second highest level in athletics, the gold series.
– This kind of competition was a good school for Keskitalo. He certainly remembers the events in Bydgoszcz, and the focus is completely different in Paavo Nurme’s games.
Friday’s mittelön won with a personal record Luca Kozak 12.66 seconds. The Hungarian is the 2022 European Championship silver medalist. Poland also slipped ahead of the middle house Pia Skrzyszowska (12.67) and the USA Alaysha Johnson (12.75).
– Kozák needs to improve if he wants to win medals at the EC-Birmingham. Above are at least three tough women: Switzerland Ditaji Kambundjithe Netherlands Nadine Visser and Skrzyszowska.
