As with Kownacki

Four goals and four templates in 24 second division games contributed offensive all-round Myron van Brederode after his loan from AZ Alkmaar for Fortuna Düsseldorf. The club initially said goodbye to the 21-year-old Dutch, but would actually like to continue. Fortuna had already announced the same about 13-goalkeeper Dawid Kownacki (28, Werder Bremen).
“There is a purchase option with him, but it cannot be implemented so economically for Fortuna,” said the Düsseldorfer about van Brederode on Saturday. Talks are now to be recorded with its regular association, where his contract is still valid until 2027. “There are still opportunities to get an alternative solution.”
The sum that would be due for the U21 international is said to be 3.5 million euros. So far, the club has only invested so much or more in one player, most recently for Christos Tzolis (23) a year ago. After a top season, the Greek attacker was continued directly to the Club Bruges for 6.5 million euros. At Kownacki, the cost was EUR 2.5 million.
