The UZ Leuven lung transplantation team recently successfully carried out the 1,500th transplantation. More than three decades in research, expertise and a strong interdisciplinary approach are bearing fruit: the center is one of the top top today. Every year it performs around two thirds of all Belgian lung transplants and achieves excellent results.
