UWV CEO lacks attention for ‘sick Netherlands’: ‘The real tragedy is that people are falling over en masse’

Benefit agency UWV is under fire. Employers, trade unions and the Chamber are ashamed of the long waiting lists and the mistakes made. “That criticism is justified,” says UWV board chairman Maarten Camps. “We correct mistakes, but too little attention is paid to the underlying problem. More and more workers are dropping out due to psychological complaints.”
