Uvalde school board votes out police chief for approach to shooting

Police Chief Pete Arredondo was removed from his post on Wednesday by the Uvalde District School Board. His handling of the Texas elementary school shooting, which left 21 people dead at the end of May, has been heavily criticized in recent months. The school board unanimously decided that Arredondo must leave, having already been sent home on paid leave in the wake of the massacre.
