In a large hall, waste and ground flows from collection trucks will be ‘transferred’ to the trailers of processors. According to the region, this will be completely indoors. The region ensures that no waste is stored on the site.

To limit nuisance, the traffic of the site is not planned by residential areas. And around the site comes a so -called green buffer, which will dampen sound.

In addition to taking care of the smell and traffic, local residents are also concerned about the impact on the adjacent nature reserve.

How to proceed?

The region emphasizes that relocation plans are not yet final. The land has not yet been purchased and the correct permits still have to be granted. But local residents are not comfortable with it.

Tomorrow the issue will be discussed in the city council of Huizen. Lisette Spork will record on behalf of the action group. More than 65 local residents have already indicated that they will come to the meeting. Prior to the meeting, the aldermen have already indicated that they will only want to respond to the plans after the information meeting on 10 April.
