Unpublished Queen: they release a new song with Freddie Mercury

“We had practically forgotten about this track, but there it was, this little gem. It’s wonderful, a real discovery. It’s a very passionate piece,” the drummer had said. Roger Taylor and the guitarist Brian May in a radio interview for the BBC.

The song “Face it Alone”, a previously unreleased recording recorded from the album sessions “The Miracle” (1989), is the release of the creators of “Bohemian Rhapsody”more than 30 years after the death of Freddie Mercury. The single is available in digital stores and will be part of a “Deluxe edition”which will be released on the market on November 18.

“Queen. The Miracle Collector’s Edition” It consists of an 8-disc box set, CD, vinyl, DVD and Blu-ray, plus alternate takes of the songs from the original album. The musical work “The Miracle” was one of the last records of the remembered British band, with the presence of Mercury in the recording studios, in the midst of the fight against the consequences of AIDS.

The musical achieved absolute worldwide recognition, reaching number one on the charts in the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands, West Germany, and Switzerland, and number 24 on the US Billboard 200. At the time of its release, it is estimated which sold 5 million copies worldwide despite no promotional tour. “I Want It All” Y “Breakthru”with an energetic Freddie Mercury, were the most remembered songs from the last album of the English group in the 80s.

after the album “Made in Heaven”, released in 1995, no unknown songs from the band made up of Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, along with the legendary singer, had been known. The emotional composition dispenses with the operatic approach of the vocalist and seems to approach the melancholic and dramatic tone of classic songs, such as “Those Were the Days of Our Lives” and “innuendo”.

The guitarist had questioned whether the song could be mastered due to the state of the recording, but “the work of the technicians had done wonders” for its production. In 2019, a news regarding the “Queen world” was released to the public, when an unreleased song from Mercury’s solo stage called “Time Waits for No One“.
