The Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo had already announced in March to open its first store in Munich. Now the official opening date has been determined.
On Thursday, Fast Retailing, which belongs to the retail group, announced that the new branch in the Bavarian capital on November 6th will open its doors for the customers for the first time.
In Leopoldstraße 35 in the Schwabing district, Uniqlo moves with an area of around 900 square meters, which extends over two floors. There, the clothing dealer will offer its complete range for women and men in the future.
The opening in Munich is a “milestone” for the brand, according to a statement. Kosuke Kobayashi, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Uniqlo Germany and Poland, explained why the company chose a location in the Bavarian metropolis: “Munich is a city in which tradition meets modernity, with a lively cultural and creative community,” he said in a statement. “The opening of our first store here reflects our long -term commitment in Germany. It enables us to get in touch with a young audience and bring Uniqlo Lifewear to the heart of Bavaria.”
