Uniqlo launches first collaboration with Anya Hindmarch

Uniqlo unveils its collaboration with British designer Anya Hindmarch, known for large cartoon eyes on bags and other accessories.

It is the first collaboration between the Japanese clothing retailer Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. owned clothing chain and the British accessories label, Uniqlo announced on Wednesday. The collaboration will feature a range of wardrobe essentials.

The capsule collection includes basics such as sweaters for women and children as well as coordinated accessories for the cold season, including socks, hats, scarves and gloves. Warming materials such as lamb’s wool and cashmere were used for the knitwear. Hindmarch’s signature pair of eyes can be found as an appliqué on every product.

“It’s an honor to work with Uniqlo, especially in the knitwear space that the brand is so known for – perfect shapes and colors – that last,” said Anya Hindmarchs. “So instead of tinkering with the beautiful silhouettes, I decided to play with them; deconstructing them, rebuilding them with different stitches and visible seams and embellishing them with small details.”

The Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch collection will be available in Uniqlo stores and online from November 23rd. Prices range from 39.90 to 129.90 euros for sweaters, from 12.90 to 29.90 euros for children’s items and from 14.90 to 24.90 euros for accessories.
