Tim Skarke, who was last loaned to Schalke 04, will apparently leave Union Berlin again. How “Sky” reporter Marlon Irlbacher reported, the 26-year-old offensive player will be loaned to newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 for a year. Before that, his contract with the Köpenickers would be extended until 2025.
For Skarke, who is said to be coach Torsten Lieberknecht’s preferred candidate, the transfer to the “Lilies” would be tantamount to a return. The right-footed player moved from his home club 1. FC Heidenheim to Darmstadt in 2019 for 100,000 euros, from where he went to Union on a free transfer three years later. In the Darmstadt jersey, Skarke scored 13 goals and seven assists in 81 games.
The still pointless Bundesliga club has so far invested 3.8 million euros in seven newcomers to Christoph Klarer and Fraser Hornby. This is offset by EUR 2.2 million in income from the sale of attacker Phillip Tietz to Augsburg.
