Ukrainian designer puts on an emotional show

Numerous hats, disheveled hair and tears: Shortly before the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian designer Irina Dzhus presented her collection at Berlin Fashion Week.

She accompanied the show on Tuesday with emotional voice recordings. The depressing mood was emphasized by seemingly artificial tears on the models’ faces. Like last year, Berlin Fashion Week particularly supports Ukrainian designers.

During the show in the press café at Alexanderplatz, Dzhus showed items of clothing that can be worn in different ways. The special thing: She sat on the edge of the catwalk and changed the models’ clothing as the show progressed. According to Berlin Fashion Week, the label produces fashion from cruelty-free materials. (dpa)
