Second term ends
Bert van Marwijk is no longer the national coach of the United Arab Emirates. As the association announced on Saturday, the coaching staff has been dismissed. Van Marwijk started his second term as national coach in December 2020, having already held this role in 2019. The Dutchman coached the UAE in 26 games, in which he won 14. Most recently, the team lost 1-0 to Iran in the Asian World Cup qualifier. According to reports, Argentinian Rodolfo Arruabarrena will follow van Marwijk.
