In the run -up to next year’s elections, the municipality of Tynaarlo has a party, Tynaarlo Vooruit.
One of the founders of the party is former GroenLinks alderman Miguel Ririhena. “In a society in which contradictions are magnified, we look forward to what connects us with Tynaarlo. That makes this movement so strong and I like to be part of that.”
At the end of 2023, Ririhena suddenly resigned his duties as an alderman for GroenLinks because according to him an ‘insurmountable difference of insight and style with the local group’ had arisen. In his period as an alderman, he was concerned with health, welfare, education and sport.
The former alderman of GroenLinks will collaborate with Edwin Hageman at Tynaarlo Vooruit. He left the VVD three years ago after the results of an integrity investigation within his party. “After my farewell to the council and the VVD, I noticed that polarization does not bring us ahead, but that making connections and maintaining are the basis for local administration. That is why I want to contribute to building a movement that has as a starting point.”
