Two motorists were injured in an accident on Karel de Grotelaan in Eindhoven on Wednesday morning. This happened after one of them lost control of the car. The emergency services were called, but one of the ambulances got stuck on the muddy verge.
The accident happened around a quarter past six. The driver of the red Ford Mustang was driving through the roundabout when he lost control. He drove through the median and ended up on the other side of the road.
The driver of the Audi was driving on that side of the road and was unable to avoid the Ford in time. The two cars therefore collided.

The emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, but one of the ambulances also went wrong. It got stuck in the muddy verge. A rescuer pulled the ambulance free. The two motorists were then taken to hospital by ambulance for a check-up.
The devastation was great. Karel de Grotelaan was closed for at least an hour between the roundabout and Strausslaan. A recovery company took the two damaged cars.
