After a night out in Eindhoven, two men were severely beaten by a group of boys. Who is responsible for this? In the Bureau Brabant investigation program, the police showed images of possible witnesses and perpetrators.
The two friends were on their way home after a night out around 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 7. On the Vestdijk in Eindhoven, a group of boys ran towards them screaming. One of the two men told the group to mind their own business. Then things went wrong.
Broken teeth
The two victims are now telling their story in Bureau Brabant. “I was suddenly on the floor with blood everywhere,” says one of them. “My friend was a few feet away. His mouth was just blood. It looked like a fountain of blood.”
The abuse has a major impact, the other shares. “I was punched in the face. My lip is cracked, almost to my nose. I also broke quite a few teeth and suffered a concussion as a result of the abuse.”
Perpetrators or witnesses
Police cannot share footage of the assault. However, camera images from the area show people coming from the direction of the Vestdijk. Among them, two young men running away. A little later they board a taxi at Stationsplein.
It is unknown whether the perpetrators or witnesses are involved. The police are calling on all people to report the images, if only to rule out the possibility that they are the perpetrators.
