Two employees cannot be found after explosion at a plant in Poland

At the NitroErg dynamite plant in the Polish town of Krupskaya-Mlyna on February 14 at about 17:15 (19:15 Moscow time) there was a powerful explosion. At the enterprise, which occupies 200 hectares of area, one of the buildings was destroyed. Rescuers are looking for two people who were supposed to be on the territory. Nobody saw them after the explosion. This is reported by the Polish resource wiadomosci.onet.pl.

Small fires broke out at the scene. About 30 firefighters were sent to extinguish them. In addition, a search group is working on the spot, which includes cynologists with dogs specializing in searching for people.

According to preliminary data, two people did not appear at the collection point after the alarm signal. Their location is being established. Representatives of emergency services have information that the explosion occurred during the technological process of mixing 800 kilograms of nitroglycerin.

The management of the enterprise reports that there is no threat to the local population. A helicopter of the Polish medical rescue service was involved in the operation, in case of emergency transportation of the wounded. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

This is not the first explosion at KGHM NitroErg plants. About a year ago, a similar incident occurred at the explosives factory in Beranka, one person died and two were injured.
