Double test against competition: Werder loses twice

Werder-seed up: During the preparation for the new Bundesliga season, Werder Bremen set two bankruptcies in one day. And that against a league competitor.
Werder Bremen had to accept two test game bankruptcies against Bundesliga competitor TSG Hoffenheim on Friday. In the first duel as part of the preparation for the new season, Werder of the TSG lost 0: 1 (0: 1). In the second game, the Hanseates even took 0: 3 (0: 0).
Hoffenheim’s Japanese access Koki Machida (19th minute) achieved the winning goal in the first 90 minutes. The central defender hit head after a corner kick.
Afterwards, the Hoffenheimers won thanks to the gates of Gift Orban (46th), Wouter Burger (51st) and Alexander Prass (85th). In addition, TSG professional Muhammed Damar missed a penalty in added time. The staff was completely exchanged on both sides.
For Werder it was the first defeats in the course of summer preparation. Previously, the SVW prevailed against Oberligist FC Verden 04 (6-0) and regional league team Kickers Emden (3: 1). A test ended to goalless against the Italian first division team Parma Calcio.
Before the competitive start in the first cup round against Arminia Bielefeld on August 15, another double test is waiting for Werder. On August 9th it goes twice against Udinese Calcio.
