Have Ruben Nicolai and Daphne Bunskoek done a shoddy job for their big boss Peter van der Vorst? According to Tina Nijkamp, it seems that their new TV shows have been thrown away.
NPO, RTL and Talpa have revealed their broadcast schedules for January and Tina Nijkamp has gone through it all. She notices that the Saturday and Sunday evenings of RTL 4 have not yet been filled. “It is striking that there are still very large gaps in the schedule at RTL 4 in January, namely Saturday and Sunday eight hours,” she says in Tina’s TV Update.
Ruben in trash?
These are very important time slots for a TV channel, Tina emphasizes. “That has not yet been completed and that is extremely worrying, I must say very honestly, because as we know, there are a lot of programs that are already on the shelf, that have already been shot and edited. I am talking about, for example, the program Pandora by Ruben Nicolai.”
Ruben Nicolai’s Pandora is still on the shelf. “When asked earlier, RTL said: ‘No, that will be on television in January’, and yes, it is striking that it is not there, it is not announced in a big way and I think that can only mean one thing: that they are not very satisfied with that program.”
Is Daphne disappointing?
Tina thinks it’s crazy. “Well, we still have to wait and see whether that is correct, but it is strange that it is not in the schedules. For the rest, it is also striking that the program Los Het Op with Daphne Bunskoek – and that is perhaps the most striking thing – was recorded a year ago and is also not in the schedule.”
What kind of show is Daphne doing? “An expensive program for which the entire audience in the Netherlands traveled to Belgium for the recordings. A kind of All-rounder VIPS that takes place in the garage and Jeroom, a Belgian comedian, is Daphne’s sidekick who, I think, has to act funny.”
Rejected
More seems to have been rejected, says Tina. “The panel quiz Ons Kent Ons, of which a second season is planned, is also not included. So whether that has all been rejected by Peter van der Vorst and his team?”
She concludes: “It could be possible, but it would be a very expensive joke. In any case, they don’t have a lot of confidence in it, because it’s not in the schedule.”
