Tuukka Taponen17, won the Middle East Formula Regional championship.
The Finnish newcomer’s championship was secured in Saturday’s race in Dubai, when he finished by Taylor Barnard before.
Taponen won the competition in superior style.
– I don’t think the pressure is on me. I just have to drive as well as I have so far, and I think that will be enough, Taponen said before Saturday’s race.
That was enough. He started the race from the pole, while Barnard only started in 12th place. The Finn held the first place from start to finish.
