The Swiss Maurizio Jacobacci will continue to coach the third division soccer team 1860 Munich in the coming season.
The 60-year-old accepted a corresponding contract offer from the lions. “I have already emphasized several times how comfortable I feel in Munich and that I really enjoy working as a coach at TSV 1860 Munich,” said Jacobacci.
Jacobacci took office in February. At that time he had applied to the 1966 German champions himself, “because coaching at a traditional German club is a challenge that appeals to me,” as he said at the time.
In addition to Swiss citizenship, the coach also has Italian citizenship. 1860 is currently ninth in the table.
